Internal water tanks

We offer indoor non-pressure water tanks on a design-and-build basis for industrial plants and public facilities:

  • built-in fire tanks for storing water for fire fighting purposes,
  • modular reserve/potable water tanks designed for medical institutions (hospitals, treatment centers, etc.) and office buildings, multi-family buildings, hotels, guesthouses,
  • retention tanks for rainwater with large capacity, built inside buildings (e.g., in basements).

Construction of internal water tanks

Indoor plastic water tanks meet the guidelines of building codes and fire safety. Drinking water reserve tanks provide the minimum quantities of water for social and domestic purposes, as specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Health of 26 March 2019 on the detailed requirements to be met by the premises and equipment of the entity performing medical activities, Dz.U. 2019, item 595.

Non-pressure water tanks are built with a unique construction of sandwich MultiPower panels made of plastic PP-COPO or HDPE and Polystone CubX PP-H. Thanks to the easy processing of the material, there is the possibility to modify the locations and type of connectors. Installation is carried out by building the tank from individual prefabricated modules, and if conditions allow – we install the finished tank.

This technology comes with many benefits. It enables unused, inaccessible rooms to be utilised without the need for costly reconstruction of structural elements of the building. Elimination of steel components of the tank, which are exposed to corrosion, saves expenses on operation, maintenance and repair. Additionally, the plastic construction reduces the effect of condensation on the walls. Unlimited possibilities for disinfection and pressure washing make it easy to keep the tank clean, and its low weight improves the operation (opening the large, rigid, yet lightweight tank lid is not cumbersome).

Highest level of security

Water tanks are made of certified construction materials, which have the necessary approvals of the PZH [National Institute of Hygiene].

Plastic with a smooth surface, resistant to the accumulation of dirt allows you to maintain high hygienic standards.
Heat-insulating walls reduce the heating of the water and thus reduce the proliferation of microorganisms (e.g., Legionella, which is unacceptable for backup sources of drinking water or water intended for human consumption). In the case of fire tanks, ensuring water purity significantly protects fire system components from secondary contamination.

Parameters of modular panels

MultiPower/Polystone CubX modular panels are made of highly resistant plastic PP-COPO, HDPE or PP-H. They are characterised by the so-called sandwich construction (two solid panels bonded by a honeycomb).

The structure of the water tank is a cuboidal shell. The reinforcement of the panels is implemented by means of transverse stiffening ribs in two spacing variants: 50/50 mm or 50/100 mm (for low loads) – so there is no need for additional steel profiles.

We prefer to join the panels by butt welding, which gives the most favourable joint calculation factors according to DVS/SKZ guidelines and standards. Other joining methods include hot air welding or extrusion welding (extruders). This form of construction allows the tank to maintain high rigidity and strength while being lightweight, which translates into reliable operation.
